Frances Lev Makino, Founder & Managing Advisor

Frances founded Makino Financial in 1989, having started her career at PaineWebber.  She earned her BS  in business from the University of Maryland, College Park and pursued an MBA at Loyola College.  She has taught personal finance at the College level, and continues to educate by teaching Financial Fitness at local organizations and to small groups.

Gloria Makino, Financial Advisor & Planner

Gloria joined Makino Financial in 2021 after earning her Certificate in Financial Planning from NYU and her B.A. with honors from Barnard College of Columbia University.  She lives with her husband and toddler, and loves when her passion for crunching numbers helps people live happier lives.

Bernie Makino, Financial Advisor

Bernie joined Makino Financial in 2021.  He previously owned his own small business, which combined his interests in travel and entrepreneurship.  He majored in Economics at Earlham College.  Outside of work, he enjoys playing softball, singing in choir, and his two dogs.
